Anyone Order Online and Get Unacceptable Packaging ??

Been a lurker for a while, but just got the V3M, case, and car charger that I ordered online. Did anyone notice how poorly it was packed. I got the package and walking into the house I noticed it was all loose and moving around in the box. I opened it up and they had put ZERO packing material (no bubble wrap or foam peanuts) in the box. To me this seems slightly unacceptable to send an electronic device and accessories completely across the country in a loose box. I also noticed that the phone box was totally black and completely unsealed with all the contents just under the top piece where the new phone sits. There was no cellophane wrap or even a piece of tape. Aren't they supposed to be packaged neatly with those cardboard seperators. Is ...

it had the scratch protective film on it, but seemed like they just tossed it all in the box and couldn;t care less if it was damaged in shipping. Its charging now, I don;t think i'll have any problems with it. It just seemed odd that they would just dump it and the accessories in a fedex box and not take the time to put any packing material in it.

Lesson learned to all... Don't order online. Go to the store 90% of the time it'll be cheaper, and you dont have to worry about poor packaging or shipping 😁 .. or.. atleast from the store I work at.

started to play with the phone and noticed it had the "loose keyboard" that people have talked about and returned it for a new one at the store. So I am already on my 2nd V3m after 4 hours.

I orginally planned to get the 8300, except it had one MAJOR flaw. You can't disable the outside buttons and the stupid thing takes 30 pictures of the inside of your pocket and changes modes all the time. Thus killing the battery and filling up the gallery. The woman assured me that the 8300 did not do that. She changed her mind when I took a picture of her face with the phone still closed LOL. Really is the only reason I did not get the phone. It was a major pain.

Yes you can take pix with the phone closed but I have had my 8100 for almost a year and not once has it taken a pic of the inside of my pocket. I could see it happening, but you have to hold the camera button down for a good 2 or 3 seconds for it even to come up. But good luck with your razr. Also just out of curiousity do you mean by it changing modes all the time?

and the razr will go to silent in your pocket all the time. especially if you consistently have problems with the buttons getting mashed. Maybe you should get rid of the tight pants and get some that fit huh??? 😲

Wow. I hate dealing with customers like you. there's something negative no matter what. All phones have buttons on the outside that can be activated when the phone is closed. Stop using that as an excuse to justify your RAZR because your RAZR is guilty of the same thing.

whatever, but he is right. Don't say you didn't get the LG because it hits buttons in your pocket. The razr does do the same thing.

So that was the problem. Ok first on the razor you can change the volume and switch it to vibrate by accidentally hitting the outside buttons. You can't hit the outside buttons on the 8300 to turn on driving mode, or the 8100 or the 8000. I think with the 8000 or maybe the 7000 is when they changed that. To many customers complained about it like it was ruining their life that one little button turned on driving mode. And on the 6000 and the 4400 it went to manner mode which I loved being able to hit the outside button to do that, but once again everybody whined about it and they changed it. I hope you enjoy your razor, but your reasoning for getting it over the 8300 makes absolutely no sense to me. I sort of understand the camera thi...

got my daughter a new Nokia at Christmas time. I was told it was too new to be refurbished too, but that phone had absolutely been used before. I took it to a verizon store and got a brand new one in nice new packaging.

I used to work in a high volume shipping department. trust me they probably shipped several thousand v3ms the day they shipped yours. They just overlooked the bubble wrap on yours. S*** happens! You got a new one at the store? Good Luck!
