I was lucky enough to see it up close and touch it and play a little bit with it. It was not activated.
The slider is VERY smooth.
when you slide it open the screen turns on and YES the UI that I saw had nothing to do w/ Verizon's regular UI --- of course this could all change, since I was playing w/ a test unit.
the keys (not the numbers pad), are touch sensitive - so it's more like touching instead of pressing down.
it looks like an Ipod actually - when closed
I think this phone will be a HUGE seller when it comes out. it's just a very classy look. The screen is unbelievable. The resolution amazing.

I've never had that happen. Yes, I have had people buy phones at full retail, but NEVER because they just wanted a new phone. The only time people ever buy phones at full retail is to replace a phone while they're still in contract, and they usually buy the cheapest model.

...cuz it just looks fugly to me. Maybe the pictures don't do it justice but the black plastic casing looks like electronics from the early '80's. And the way it slides seems like it would be hard to use the keypad- especially the top three numbers for texting and whatnot. JMO.
