SLVR to VZW?
I read somewhere that the SLVR is coming to VZW. I was just wondering if this was true or not. I don't think I want it but with the possible price (or what I've heard) of the a990 I am looking for other alternatives to upgrade too. Thanks. 🙂

My new every two is coming up this fall, and I am interested in an E815 since I live in such a bad reception spot. Anyway, I was at a Verizon kiosk recently to ask if the E815 was still going to be around this fall. The employee replied with, "It is getting replaced with the SLVR, but you should still be able to find it." Interesting news, as I haven't heard boo on any forums as to the existence of a SLVR for Verizon. I guess with anything you hear from a kiosk employee, take this with a grain of salt.

No the E815 isn't getting replaced with the stinkin SLVR. I think there may be an E816 possibly.

The "SLVR" will be coming to VZW. I have heard from a Motorola rep that it will more than likely be a Christmas phone for VZW.

Never say never. The same thing was said about the Razor. I have spoke with a Motorola representative and they said that there will be a VZW version of the Sliver. Cingular's contract with Itunes is irrelevant. It will have Vcast music capability. Not Itunes. It has already been said that it will most likely be around for the 4th quarter.
