Current subscribers paying at least $50 per month will be allowed to upgrade to a new phone at the new subscriber price after 12 months of service. They will also continue to allow subscribers to upgrade their phone for free every two years. If a phone stops working after it is out of warranty, Verizon will replac...

I don't really see what the big change is. The only thing that has really changed is the pro rated etf fee. I've been working for verizon for about 4 months and we have always charged a 50 dollar out of warranty fee for phones that stop working after the one year manufacturers warranty expires. We have also allowed customers on a 59.99 rate plan or higher for atleast 3 months and have had their current equipment for atleast a year, upgrade after one year. and New every two has been around as well. Free back up assisstant is new though. So what is all the fuss about?

I don't think he is making a 'fuss'. The new policies should be a "win-win" for Verizon and it's customers.

I didn't mean that lefteye was making a fuss. I've just heard alot of people talking about all "changes". They aren't really changing anything but the prorated etfs.

really? I thought the primary line on a 59.99 rate plan or higher could always upgrade a year into a two year contract. I've been processing them that way for months.

Merits program is the line has to be on a 79.99 or higher. The OLD was if they were 59.99 or higher. Now it will be 50. I assume that will be for the old 59.99 family share primary lines will be able to upgrade since they are 50 and the secondaries are the 9.99...
