how fast is the internet supposed to run
i just purchased the q with the unlimited data and my internet seems rather slow... its taking quite a while to load up digg.com with the show pictures option de-selected... this is my first experience with mobile internet so am i doing something wrong, is there anyway to check my speed?

WRONG!!!!!!!!! Dial-up is no faster than 56k/sec. They should be able to get anything around 64k-218k per sec. I get consistantly 128k per sec and I am in a non EVDO area with my Motorola Q

Point was, VZW says ave national access speeds are 60-80k in non evdo. So yes, ave speeds are more like dialup, could be faster based on location/reception, towers etc.

did you see me give specific speeds? The user experience on a PDA on Verizon networks in a non EVDO coverage area is about the same as dial up on your home PC. That was the analogy. Sorry I angered you! LMMFAO
