Will verizon ever pull their head out of its big dumb corporate butt and offer an unlimited text plan. Not unlimited to IN users but unlimited to anyone. Sprint can do it why can't verizon get on the ball here? 🙄

I believe if they offered this option it would put them with an even stronger advantage, the youth of today only text, and verizon is losing out on many potential customers who otherwise would sign up with them.

I would suggest in the future even though verizon is putting food on the table for you, that you gain a little perspective and not display this verizon is the king they don't need to do anything because were so great attitude. Anyways I hope in the future verizon offers this option would really strengthen their position.

Verizon has a much bigger customer base than Sprint. By offering unlimited texting to their own customers, they're already including a large portion of cell phone users.
I agree though. I wish they'd just change the $20 text plan to unlimited to everybody. It would sell a lot more.

yep personal side would be cool on business side dont see it happening at this point. vzw is still not the only company not offering full unlim text messages.

When you are a smaller company you need to offer little deals like Unlimited TEXT or early nights and weekends to make up for your "less than stellar" service. They offer Unlimited IN messaging because they want everyone to switch to verizon.
If you have IN messaging don't you think you are more prone to getting your family to sign up with Verizon if you have Unlimited messaging to them?

I understand what you are trying to convey, fact is not everyone has verizon and many of my friends don't and even with the highest text package available I still go over, so it would be nice if verizon offered unlimited text. To say verizon is so awesome we don't need early nights and unlimited text is really not meeting the demands of all potential customers. Sprint and T-mobile offer unlimited text to everyone its just verizon and cingular that are falling short. My bill just keeps getting higher and higher, I want to stay with ve...

The initial demands is "Service" as in reception and being able to make calls in the majority of the areas that people travel day to day. Text messaging is important, however it's not the primary reason why people have cell phones. I am sure that Verizon is missing out on potential sales, however I believe that they are gaining more profit and people by not offering Unlimited TEXT to everyone.
