Hi everyone. I'm trying to find the best place to download ringtones for my LG8300. The VZW deluxe tones does not support the 8300. What is the next best site for music/cool ringtones ??? Thanks !!!

can't you make your own now that bitpim supports the 8300? pick up the Music Essentials kit(which comes with a nice set of headphones) and download bitpim. Then you can make ringtones from the songs you have on your computer.

LG-VX 8300 needs to use Windows Media Player 10 to transfer music and you must either buy a USB connector from wwww.verizonwireless.com or you must buy music off V-Cast Music and have one sent to your phone and you PC so you have it on the phone and a copy on the PC.

no vcast music is like an ipod just for playing music not for rintones. also is a diffent format wma just in case u need to know that. I do not know about making own ringtones and transfering to phone everything i have says no if there is a way verizon does not support. Only way support is through the sony music box so you actually get clips of an actual song for the ring tone not just the music

VZW TONES Deluxe is NOW SUPPORTED on LG 8300. I downloaded it yesterday!!!

Go to GET TUNES AND TONES/GET NEW RINGTONES/GET NEW APP and you will now see VZW TONES DELUXE with RBT (ringback tones) available for download...

Another option is to buy yourself a microSD card and a card reader/writer that connects via USB and you can simply transfer songs (mp3s) from your pc to your card...

BTW, first you need to enable MP3s on your phone... press menu / 0000000 / music setting / mp3 enable

I've been attaching 30 second mp3 clips to an email and sending them to my phone. I noticed they needed to be 160kbps or the quality is not good. when you recieve the message got to options and save as ringtones it's awesome free mp3 ringtones. I've sent like 10 to my phone and plan to send more.

You're welcome
jcoberg10 forgot to mention you need to shorten the songs to 30 secs using a cropping program for mp3s then send to your [email protected]

you people are all nuts, why pay for them when you send sound files via mms and set them as ringtones? They usually sound better that way anyway.

well basically you just get an mp3 cutter and cut a sound clip off of one of your existing songs on your computer. Cut to about 20-30 second clip and save it making sure the file is under 350kb then just send it to yourself through email. Your phone will receive it as a mms(pix/flix)message then just save the sound file and set as ringtone. That was the quick explanantion, just check out the 8300 forum detailed instructions are in there on how to do this as well as answers to any problems you run into when doing this.
