I just saw this on their site. What sucks is that I ordered my vx-8300 friday and it should be here today or tomorrow. But I would really like the a990 BUT it wont be in stores to dick around with until the 24th and by that time my 15 days will be up to trade the 8300 in for it. So if I choose I could send it back but I well be getting the a990 having not been able to mess with it 😈 . So Im not sure what to do. Any opinions?

Just buy it at full retail, that way you can switch back and forth anytime you want to.

samsungs are junk, the 8300 is the better phone. plus the 990 has the red bar commie ui, no cool flash like the 8300. cancel you order all together and wait for the chocolate.

Nah, Samsungs aren't junk. Audiovox (excluding 9500 and 9900) are junk, along with Pantech's and Kyocera's. Most Motorolas are too, but LG's are the best followed by Sammys.

No need to get on the topic of bashing brands... I just got the 8300 in the mail today. I guess my only hope is that if the bluetooth looses connection as bad as everyone says it does then to commlain to verizon enough and maybe get a different phone down the road. But we'll see. Who knows.

Dude, I loved the 950, only just got rid of it when the 8300 came out, never had a single problem with it, but to each their own.

I agree..Samsung and Lg are at the top of the list. And I also like the Audiovox 9900. One of the best phones ever made.

what where you using prior to the 8300? If your old phone is still good just send the 8300 back and go back to your old phone for another few weeks.
