Motorola Q V.S. Treo700w
Okay so right now I have t-mobile and have the new sidekick 3. I am debating on returning it and ending my service with T-Mobile because everyone i know has verizon and the service sucks but here is the down fall I will be almost doubleing my cost per month from betwen 90-120 with t-mobile to about 165 bucks with verizon.
If i do switch i need to know which phone would be better for me the TREO or the Q... I do need to be able to use AIM and to link my school email and other email accounts to the phone as well my other concern is the battery life!!!

On either of the devices you can do AIM. Agile Messenger should work on both from what I have read (although I have never used it). The TREO 700w is def more powerful than the Q, with many more features like create/edit Word/Excel docs and view PowerPoint. The Q will only let you view them. Both will work for your e-mail. As of now, I believe you can still get an extended battery for 19.99 with the purchase of the Q (usually 59.99). Always keep in mind, you can try the phone for 15 days, so if you get one, really put it through it's paces to test it out.

Okay well i went to verizon and with the 2 year contract the phone would be 199.00 the Q and my plan would be 109.00 pluss 20.00 for 2500 text messages and 5.99 for the protection plan and then i would need to cancel my contract with t-mobile for 200 bucks ;( what do you guys think

My suggestion is get the phone and try it out for 15 days. If you like it, keep it and port over your number and cancel t-mobile. If you don't return it and you just have to pay for the days you used it. VZW give you the 15 Day Worry Free Guarantee Just for the reason (upon others).

you don't have to work for the government to get the discount. Alot of the hospitals, lager factories, car dealerships, and countless other small businesses have a discount. If money is what you are trying to save I say go with the Q. If you find it just doesn't have the capabilities that you need, then go with the 700w. The 700 has been out for while, so if you have any problems someone on here or HOFO will definitely be able to help. Unfortunately, unless you get a sales rep that has done his own research and actually took it upon him/herself to learn about the device, Your local rep will probably no little to nothing about what this thing can do.

I love the Treo 700W but wish the P was available when I got it. Have seen the Q and compared it and talked to a few people with it and would take the Treo hands down.
