Smartfounded-
I'm 50 and have 20/15,20/20 near uncorrected.
BUT the small type does take a LOT more time to 'acquire', or transition to when looking in the distance. Like driving, and glancing at your phone--and back to the road. If the type size was a responsible size, or had options to change it, that would be a MAJOR public safety improvement, IMHO.

i agree, voice dialing is a good thing to use.. BUT there really is no excuse to leave out 3 font sizes on the UI. They DID think of type size for dialing a number! They just didn't (couldn't) think any further!!!
Honestly, I can't believe that VZW isn't smart enough to realize that 80% of the population would benefit from larger fonts,
They could tout their 'public safety' efforts (read free advertising)
and they also would be able to market to folks 70+ and sell them phones and plans to be able to text their grandkids!
And these folks have MONEY.

LOL not much of a market for the 70+ crowd. why market a phone with a 2 year contract when you're not even sure they'll literally "live up" to the contract terms! Its harsh, but true.
