Im getting a new phone upgrade this weekend. I am between these two phones because with the discount both will be free. In a head on comparison what does each phone have that the other doesnt? Razr has looks obv. Any major advantages of one over the other?

I'm in the process of making the same choice.
The v3m comes with an adaptor for standard 2.5mm headsets (mic/earpiece) and it seems to have few of the Bluetooth compatibility issues that the 8300 has. Also, the font on the v3m seems larger, even compared with the 8300's 'large' type. The 8300 does seem to have the ability to increase the brightness of the
display.........
Also, the sidetone, or ability to hear your voice is a MAJOR plus of the v3m, so if you ever get a dropped call, you won't be talking to space...

Outside display is useless and you can also hear yourself when you talk on the 8300. So there.... 😁...8300 is a great phone

Good to hear. I'd go for the 8300 if the type was a respectable size and it had BLUETOOTH not LGTOOTH. 🙂 I'll see if they get that fixed!

I really liked the v3m silver's looks much more than the 8300. After speaking to a Verizon rep (one that I trusted), he mentioned that if I chose the Vm3, just make sure I get insurance on it. It seemed that this particular store had a rash of returns for damage. I guess the Vm3 wasn't quite sturdy enough and damaged easily. Just a thought...
