Verizon Chocolate Test Page
Couple interesting details: First you can clearly see a MicroSD card slot added on the side, so that's added as suspected.
Second the date on this phone is Wed, Aug. 16th, WELL before the october date and seeming much more in line with the info on this site, which makes me VERY excited.
Third, there is some concern over at HOFO that the red bars signal that this doesn't have the FlashUI of 8300, but I'm optimistic that it's just the default and FlashUI will be there.
Fourth, I've been reading this forum for a while but this is my first post, so HI ALL 😛 😛

VX8500 also features a new version of the Verizon interface with on-screen menus for the side keys. We can only guess what this means but I'm sure it won't just be red bars

buddy of mine got to play with it. Says its a prety solid feeling phone, unlike some other sliders, but the buttons on the face are very sensative, so you end up going through your menu with your cheek as you make a call. As far as price, don't expect a990 pricing. Expect 8300 pricing. They want this phone in every kids pocket come school time.
