Gsm is good, but not great. Neither is CDMA for that matter. The bottom line is that Verizon has done a better job of pounding it into consumers heads that their network is the best. I apologize that the marketing teams at other carriers are unable to do this. Tmobile's marketing strategy concerns get more minutes, features, dropped calls, and refurbed phones. Cingular fits you bets moreso because of all the plans and features. But only one carrier delivers where it matter most, completing and holding onto a call more often than not.
VZW has already started offering more minutes with the IN Network calling, which was a huge success. I"m sure there is something else up their sleeve.
I think the consensus in some of these forums is that...

Attention T-Mobile haters: I have NEVER had a dropped call on T-Mobile. Ever. Seriously. And I have Verizon and AWS phones as well as T-Mobile... I use T-Mobile the most. Also... they do NOT sell refurbished phones. They may offer them as an early upgrade option to people who didn't buy insurance and break their phone, or you may have dealt with some unscrupulous dealers who try to pass off refurbs as new, but the handsets that T-Mobile direct and most dealers sell as new are NEW. Chill with the propaganda.
...
VZW doesn't sell refurbished phones either. A customer will get a refurbished unit if they take part in the express exchange.
...
ok buddy you are a good example that common sense is not always common
...
There's no needto be rude. It seems like you were stating that VZW sells refurbished units.
...
I think he was talking to me... although I'm not sure exactly how to take it. Was that an insult or a compliment?
...
I think it was an insult
...
Oh, okay... I don't take too much offense to mindless drivel.

I guess it wasnt your post but jdigital's. So, what's your problem. Are you so bored that you had to post something, just anything. You should come to realize that not everyone is as smart as you, you're god and the world which revolves around you is trying very hard to be like you. I am really really sorry I didnt meat your standards. I'll try harder to help someone and not make fun of other people, just for the sake.
...
What was that supposed to mean? J's post made plenty of sense to me. If he's never dropped a call or sold a refurbed phone for t-mobile, or any of the other stuff he said then that's it. What's so uncommon about that common sense?
...
I'm speaking from knowledge and experience, which would make what I said fact, not propanganda.
...
Okay then... please explain the "fact" that
T-Mobile sells refurbished phones. That is NOT a fact. As for the dropped calls, the "fact" is that T-Mobile is no more likely to drop calls than any other provider using a GSM network. As I said, in my area there are no capacity issues, and I have NEVER dropped a call. That's ME speaking from experience.

lilgabe...
I take it you have every carriers phone and have tried them all like that goofy azz test man for Verizon, and you can personally say that as of this very moment what you state is true.
Wireless coverage and dropped calls, etc. change almost DAILY, due to network development, geographic conditions and many other factors.
If only one carrier delivered what you claim only VZW delivers, there would BE no other carriers.
Let's look at some things here:
In New England alone Cingular will add over 200 towers by years end. Think that might impact the dropped calls? You bet your sweet bippy it will.
Call completion I have never had a problem with, and I have traveled extensively. The only carrier I ever had a problem with co...
