Moto V60 vs Moto V60S vs Nokia 3589i fringe/rural reception

Can anyone who has had both the v60 and the v60s compare their reception in rural/fringe areas? The moto v60 is the only phone that ever worked at my mom's in WV, but I have heard reports that the V60s is not as good as the V60. I traded my v60 with my mom's lg vx4400 so that she would have a cellphone that actually worked at her house (same carrier). I'm up for a new phone and am tempted to get another v60 off ebay or somewhere, unless someone can tell me if the v60s or nokia 3589i are as good or better than the v60.

Thanks,

I'm not happy with my v60 AT ALL!!! It drops calls at the slightest signal jump and I'm hearing this more and more: "I've called you three times and you've never picked up until now" whenI was getting a 5 bar signal the phone never rang.

I'd go with the nokia I've always lived in a rural area and I've had pretty good runs with all the nokias I've had.

The Nokia 3589i is earning a reputation as one of the best reception phones that Verizon even offers at the moment, which is amusing since it is on the low end. But Nokias are usually really good with signal strength, in addition to being user friendly and nearly indestructible. That Nokia is my "safety" phone... in other words, when a customer is looking at phones and doesn't necessarily care about the features of the higher priced phones, I always point them to that one because I know they are going to be happy with it.

I went ahead and got the Nokia 3589i, and brought it out to WV with me. It passes the grandma's basement test. Fairly clear even when it shows no bars, *very clear* when it shows one bar, and doesn't drop the connection when walking around under either circumstance. The lg vx4400 gets a very static connection here, if it connects at all, and can't hold the signal when moving around, and often not even when standing still. The moto v60 is better than the lg vx4400, but not as good as the nokia 3589i.
The 3589i is a pretty basic phone; no speakerphone, basic wallpaper and ringtones, not a flip-phone. But it does have plenty of basic features. Has data connectivity/modem, but so far I can only find the cable online. No one seems to stoc...

Good to know, I will rember this for the situations come up. How do you guys feel about the Key pad and the view screen? These things are also big consern for people that are "Getting-blinder-every-year" people or "Fingers-Getting-Fatter-Every-Year" people that I get.

The keys are nicely separated, but don't have that satisfying "click" that higher quality keypads have. Minor quibble. The 3589's screen is VERY bright. I have no problems whatsoever seeing it, and I'm of the getting-blinder-by-the-minute demographic as well. I'm telling you folks...everything's downhill from the age of 30!

Ran the Grandma test. She says the 3589 screen is much easier to see/read than the moto, expecially when it doesn't have a wallpaper set. The keys light up as well and are easier to see than the v60 but about the same size. I don't have the v60s, so I don't know whether they improved the screen/keys over the v60. The lg vx4400 has the best screen/keys of the three I have; too bad we can't use it when we travel!
