Getting ready to upgrade in a couple of weeks to the 8300, liked the 9800, but it was a little to big. Might wait for the 9900. Any suggestions?

Thank you.

I know, I was just kidding with you. The 9900 should be out sometime in September from the info available online.

there was a possible picture of it posted over in one of the howard forums a couple days ago... it was very small but it looked like what I would expect to be the real deal...

I recently got the 9800 but yeah is kinda heavy and well there are rumors that the 9900 is lighter which would be the bomb!

there is a 'supposed' picture of the 9900 when it is open, that is what I was refering to earlier... it was first 'found' like 3 days ago...

the actual picture that was linked was only about 1 inch on the screen...

Can someone explain to me why, if I am a merits customer and apparently earned a possible discount upgrade to another phone after 12 months, but I forfit my NE2. So I am rewarded for having a high end plan, but get another perk taken away for the same reason?

Thanks.

Because for the new every 2 discount you have to complete 22 months of your current 24 month contract. Being a merits customer does not change the eligibility requirements for new every 2. But it does give you the two year pricing on a new phone after only completing a year of your contract. There are also other perks with regards to accessories and phone book transfers for being a merits customer. Also the new every 2 is not being taken away you just have to wait out the 22 months to get it.

That is not what C.S. told me. They said that I would forfit the NE2, I have no problem waiting the 22 mos, if I use my merits. As long as it starts over, not goes away.

you forfeit it once, not forever. You'll be eligable 22 months from now (or whenever you buy a phone) cust serv either said the wrong thing or explained it poorly.

Well that's good, I will probably just get the 8300 next week, and if the 9900 is thst great whenever it comes out, and use my merits in a year.

Thanks for all the info.

The FCC picture is the only one i would believe 😛 at this point in the game I would consider the rest as bogus. It is said to be sleeker and slimmer then the 9800. Which I would hope, I have always thought the 9800 was a pretty ugly phone. I would suspect it to look a lot like th 9800 but smaller. Then again with me saying that im sure it will look NOTHING like the 9800 ;) hehe.

Does anyone know when Verizon will be getting a new phone to replace the LG 9800?

I think it is suppose to be the LG 9900 is that true?

It seems like it has been out now for about 14 months and they should be getting it upgraded versus allowing it to become older technology even though it has great features.
