My "2 cents worth"

I have been reading several of these forums for months now. And I have to stay, 90% of the time these forums are very helpful.
And I have had the top 4 carriers going as far back as 1996.
Like most people think carriers supply a service, if you like the service stay with it. If not, put your money in a "different(carrier).
Of the 4 carrires I have used, they are pretty much equal in the areas I frequented.
But now that most people already have a phone, it seems most if not all carriers pulling all the stops out, to get new customers. And by trying so hard they(the carriers) fudge the details somewhat.
By most standards a phone is used to place a call, that is it's main function. You can disuss or arg...

honestly i do not believe the people on these forums are exactly "telling" someone what they should or should not use or choice, what they are doing is providing advise on what they would choose, to allow the person some option

A person who is not cell phone educated can end up within a store and basically at the hands of the sales rep, which can be good or bad. armed with the right information, and questions to ask. the person can make a better decision for what is right for them. So honestly, in a way you are right. we cannot tell what works, but we can tell them how to find out what works for them. which is what most of the people on this site do.

While I am here, I just wanted to say you are doing a great sevice to the general public, at least 99.1%
The only bad thing I see here, is when they start to remove threads because they are unpopular with some people.
So what if they may be unpopular, a least it's a conversation where people can decide for themselves if they choose to read it or ignore it, it's their choice. When someone takes that choice away, then the sh** hits the now famous "fan".

I have to admit that i agree with the fact that a person can choose to read or not to read an thread. Doesn't mean they should remove it because it offends another. any kind of censorship is inappropriate.

I think a lot of what gets taken off the forum is not so much because it's unpopular. People will invariably read it and reply to it...that's sorta the def. of popular on a forum. The only posts I've seen Rich knock off are things that generally have nothing to do with the wireless industry and are doing nothing but slammin other people. That's not the focus of this site and as the moderator he's got the right to take such action.

Rich, you're doin a hell of a job here, even when there are those of us who tend to get off topic.
