legal ad for tower in city
Verizon Wireless just posted a legal ad for a request to place an antenna on electrical transmission tower in my city today. How long will it take before service can go live in my city? I live in weirton,wv by the way. Also how risky is that, placing a cell antenna on a electical tower and will that avoid the legal hassle of most city antenna codes?

I don't know how long it takes to get a tower up and running, but T-Mobile has their antennas on a few of the NIPSCO towers in my area. As long as it's a monopole type, like what T-Mobile has done with putting their antennas up, I doubt it's difficult at all. It's just placed on the lower end of the pole. It's a speculatative question so I can only speculate the answer will be no, you are in the middle of nowhere, not anywhere near a metro area. Doesn't alltel already own that area?

He's not in the middle of nowhere. He's only about 25 mile from Pittsburgh and only a couple miles from the PA line. There is nowhere in the country with better VZW coverage than Southwestern PA.
