MicroSD vs. MiniSD

What's the difference and why are more phones switching to MicroSD?

functionally no difference... It's just waaay smaller. 🙂

Smaller card means they can make a smaller phone. Most phones are going to it now especially with the release of 2 gig micro cards. why would u want to use a larger card?

I seem to recall reading that the TF/Micro cards are only good for something stupid like 100 cycles in and out of the slot on the contacts... I may have drank too much last night, but my memory is usually good...

i havent heard that. i wouldnt think there would be any difference between them in that aspect. but mine just stay in the phones for the most part.

Mine do, too. I have a different one for different cd collections. Easier to swap out than reload stuff. I don't pull it in and out a lot.

Wow that sounds different u use more than 1gb of memory?? (2gb now) why not put them all on 1?

My Samsung a930 only supports a maximum of 1gb at the moment. In order to support a higher card would require Verizon to have an update to the phone. I hope that'll happen in the near future.
