I recently got the Motorola v325 and I had been loving it until recently....the battery life is absolutely horrid, I mean the phone barely stays charged all day. The lag time of this phone seems really long, when you press a button it takes a long time to process. And third when I was in a really small town in Indiana I was able to get reception real quick only to keep dropping my call. (and my buddy who has cingular had perfect service)....my question is what Verizon phone has great reception and a good battery life? Is Motorola notorious for bad batteries? Someone help!

I would either go to a store or talk with Vzw.

I have a 325 also and wondered about the battery life. So, I took a fully charged battery and one night after using the phone for a while(I didn't want to tie up both phones too long during the day) I called my wife's Vzw phone and left them 'offhook' until the v325 just shut off. The total length of calls was 175 minutes till dead.

Is is possible you are ending up in analog and running the battery down that way?

I have my phone on loan out, but when I get it back, I'm going to see if I can get into the service menu and lock it into CDMA only.

it very well could be the constant searching, but my husband has the same phone and it has the same poor battery life. Not to mention that for all the rave reviews on reception, we have found that it has dropped way too many calls for us and often the other person cannot hear me...........

From what I have seen the 325 is not much of a phone. Battery life is bad, as well as many glitches and slow browsing(much like the razr before software). I'd recommend the 8300 for reception and battery life. You will be better off with an all digital phone in the near future anyhow, and you can only upgrade every 22 months so get the best.

I would love to say my E815...cuz they advertised it to last a week standby..but since I'm in a "low coverage" area..a spot where its hard to get VZW coverage...in Bellevue..my phone battery only lasts two days.

I figured out its how the network operates..since CDMA "maintains" connection to 3 towers. (I think that CDMA actually requires that tri-tower connection. Since it takes forever for my phone to even connect.)

Doing that does impact the battery life.

? just thte further you are away from the tower the harder your phone has to work, not sure about that three tower thing you speak of? Those battery estimates are always bogus, my wife gets about 2-3 days on her 815 depending on how much she uses it.
