I need to upgrade phones and want/need a reliable phone with good call clarity/reception/bluetooth/reliability? What is the best Verizon phone available or soon to be available. Thanks for your help.

Probably the VX8300, VX8500, or the VX9800. These phones have some of the highest reviews and we sell a ton of them with almost no problems whatsoever.

wait on the 9800 they are on the way out to be replace by the 9900 and if you don't need super advanced features like evdo, music player and 1.3mp camera try the lg vx-5300 great small phone new with bluetooth.

Would you recommend the 9900 even if I am not much into texting?

Hard to say without it being out, but ease of use as well as quality the 9800 has been outstanding having one of the lowest FRU percents of all the phones. 8500 quality is still yet to be seen, 8300 is very solid with great reception.

I totally agree on the 9800. That is my favorite phone of all-time so far.

I live in Nebraska which some could call rural, and my V works pretty well all over here. Very problem free phone, just remember you get what you pay for. Ppl say they want just a basic phone, but by not wanting features you are losing a lot in quality. Spend the money and just dont use those features or ull be buying a 3300 and be upset in a month when ur stuck with it.

The 3300 is very basic and definately not designed for gadget freaks. However, it gets an A+ for quality, durability and functionality.

Like most folks on PhoneScoop, I would quickly grow tired of something as basic as the 3300. However, most people just want a phone that will complete calls reliably and last through the two year upgrade period without falling apart.

Don't knock the 3300.

I went from the Pink razor to the LG 9800 and I LOVE IT! I recommend it in performance, features, reception, battery life, camera could be better (the razor's was better), but I would definitelly recomment the 9800 or 8300
