Non Camera Phones with Bluetooth?

OK, so this guy comes by the kiosk once a week and bitches because we don't make a phone that doesn't have a camera with Bluetooth. I'm quick to remind him that VZW does not make the phones. And I think it is unlikely that the makers will take all the time and research and development to but Bluetooth in a non camera phone. He always bites back and says 'well your competitors have one'. Anyone know of anything coming.

I wonder why he wants it. The cameras don't take up any room on the handsets anymore.

Bluetooth is a higher end feature, so those phones are usually loaded. He kinda wants a luxury car without power windows.

I wouldn't be surprised if the non-camera phones cost MORE beca...

Did you ever consider that the guy may work in a place (i.e. Gov't office, R&D facility, etc.) that doesn't allow cameras, including on phones?

he should get a blackberry, which are non camera/bluetooth devices. Sure it costs more but he gets what he wants. Or he could always buy a camera phone and jab a pen through the camera, I've had people do that before, not on my suggestion though.

seriously though he's gonna have to wait. I'm sure one will be available as bluetooth becomes more of a standard feature and less of a high end feature. We are just now starting to get mid-tier phones with bluetooth (lg5300 and sam 870) It will take time for the manufacturers to put BT in a truely low-end phone

That would be a reason, I guess.

The guy has a real legitimate beef that a lot of folks understand. A large number of higher tech corporations prohibit any cameras on their property, and that includes cell phones with cameras. They have to get left in the car.
The market addressed seems to be PDA's and young kids not in the upper areas of the workforce yet. I speak with a relative of mine in the Washington DC area, and some other carriers like Sprint get a LOT of business simply because they understand this. The W315 will be a real hit if the screen has decent sized type, (both inside and out)

My gym does not allow cell phones in the locker rooms. Probably a policy more enforced on the women's side.

Yea, that's a factor, too. 2 good friends of mine while at the gym, in a moderately upscale location had their car broken into and all their things taken, including their new RAZRs. Another good reason to have good higher end (better built, smaller, louder, more readable, etc) phones without cameras and music players.
