for those who can't go to the link..

The LG VX8600 and the VX9900 have been spotted on Verizon's Backup Assistant page and theyโ€™re marked as "coming soon" so we can expect to see these two launched by the US number two carrier shortly. The VX9900 is the successor of the VX9800, currently available with Verizon, while the VX8600 is rumored to be a stylish clamshell of the LG Chocolate line. The latter is believed to be the CDMA version of the KG810/MG810 GSM phone, which is already approved by the FCC.

the 9900 looks like a thinner version of the 9800, the screen looks to be much larger and from what i can see the buttons looks a little larger and more in line with the sidekick 2's rubbery feel. I can't tell though, the pic is pretty sm...

LG strikes again! Watch out Moto, Nokia and Samsung! Clear the way for the best. The 9900 looks sweet and the 8600..looks kinda like the KRZR. I'm digging the glass buttons tho.

I would looking around in the VZ warehouse inventory spreadsheet today and noticed a LGvx8600-DP code, which stands for dummy phone. Looks as if the phone is nearing launch within months. Nothing for the 9900 though. Maybe we will see the 8600 within a month, and the 9900 in a month or two.

VZ has now took the crown of best handsets. LG has hooked them up with some stylish handsets. I left VZ but after seeing that 9900. As soon as it hits the store shelf, I will make a switch back. That phones looks sweet.

Doesn't matter how sweet the 8600 looks it loos SOOOOOO much like the razr. What ever happened to originality?

"Let's wait until the razr is out then copy it and call it something else and make it our phone"

thats how business works my friend, you copy successful products. And I think this phone will be pretty cool, especially cause its not a MOTO! Just because a phone looks the same doesn't mean it will function the same.

A chrysler 300c looks kinda like a bentley, but which one would you rather have??? Just some food for thought

I know that how business works.

I just don't see what the hype is about.

And by the way the razr is not successful worldwide. It had no chance in Europe.
