Dark grey Razr v3m
Whatever happened to the dark grey aka charcoal aka gunmetal razr? I saw the phone in both Verizon and Best Buy stores last week, but now all of a sudden they have been pulled off the shelves. Every rep I talk to is telling me they are sold out throughout the region (Northeast) and the warehouse is also sold out.

I did not know the specific name. Its not the silver Razr or the pink Razr its the darker grey one. Let me see if I can find one of the old best buy ads.

I know what you are talking about but look at the best buy page go to weekly ads click on the wireless ad on the bottom it is page 30 and 32 which displays the phone. I will take a screen shot and save the image somewhere and post it here if you cannot find it. Best Buy must create the new page dynamicly when you click the link for the ad.

protege: verizons razr started as gunmetal grey, v3c. then they made a pink one. then came out with the gunmetal v3m, then came out with v3m in pink. know they have silver with black keyad. but vzws first was gunmetal grey v3c model.

Verizon might call it gunmetal... but the v3i looks different than the original v3c or v3m.. Its actually very very nice! I dont like the shade Verizon had or has...

The gray..gunmetal v3m was a special edition model..it was made better, stronger, metal keypad, metal hinges..the silver v3m is all plastic. They dont make the gunmetal v3m anymore.

one of my friends has a gunmetal V3m and we hooked it up to my computer with a USB cable and the bubble said: Found New Hardware: Motorola V3c.

OK, i used to work for a mid-sized competitor to BB/CC/GG et-al... (Stock RSC) (No not radioshack! that's RSH!) And in that business it's not uncommon to have your newspaper ads printed up up to 4 months in advance... 4 months ago grey razrs were common... 🙂

I have seen the grey razr in a best buy in Portland Maine, and I talked to a verizon rep from Woodbridge NJ because my girlfriend said she saw one on display there. She had no clue they were out of stock until she looked it up. Furthermore she informed me that Verizon had not asked her to take the disply units of the "charcoal" down. She figures they will be restocking the stores soon. Most other Verizon stores in the New England region have had the unit pulled from display for a while now. Only recently has Best Buy not offered the phone on their website. I could only find it on the older wireless ad.

clarkent: you may want to check with some authorized dealers other than best buy. to see if any of them have it. v3c was just basic phone, v3m is the multimedia version with transflash card to store info on.

I said I checked with a Verizon store rep from the woodbrige NJ store. They currently have 2 display models of the charcoal v3m, but sadly they are all out of units for sale. My girlfriend was the one who told me she saw this model in an actual Verizon store.

Sorry I misunderstood what you were saying. I am afraid an authorized dealer might not honor my new every two. I may just wait for a newer motorola such as the Motorola SLVR L7c or the Motorola KRZR K1m. I do not particularlly care for the silver version of the Razr.

Check with the dealers... VZW pays indirects X for an upgrade, usually that X is waaay more than your NE2... For us it's just $10 more than a new customer pays... Not a bad deal usually...

This color was discontinued in the V3M. Only the Silver with Black interior and Pink are available.

If you see the v3i in person you will see that it is completely different from any other shade of gray used on any RAZR...whether they call it charcoal or gunmetal ... the v3i is much nicer IMO>>>
