whats the difference between e911 only and location on?

i have the lg9800 and mine shows e911 only while my two other friends, who have the same phone show "location on"... whats the difference between the two and which should i set mine to? does either drain the batter more so than the other? thanks in advance for your help

e911 turns on the GPS locator when 911 is called. Location On means that the GPS is always on. This is used for VZ Navigator or if you want someone to track you. It does drain the battery more vs e911, so do turn it on unless you need it.
