Another Stupid Verizon Decision!!!
why wouldn't there be the ability to sync contacts and calendars with a Mac/PC?
They tested this phone for months and they didn't think this was a feature that we would want at launch? every other BT phone adhears to the BT OPEN STANDARD. as a manufactuer or phone company you have to make a conscious decision to turn this standard OFF.
buying a bluetooth enabled device should get you all the features that the conglomerate of companies have agreed upon are put in the standard. you'd be pissed if your DVD player didn't allow you to play alternate audio tracks or your compact flash card only ...

Why is it always a Verizon conspiracy to keep the features off phones that people are wanting? It could never be something like the manufacturer not adding something could it?
Another Corporate Suite Idiot...
Duhhhhhh...
It is Verizon mucking with the manufacturers software...
If Verizon can't charge for it... You are not going to get it...
Which is why many of the other carriers excel....
What keeps us with verizon is the U.S. Coverage... Not the technology...
Geeezzzzzzzzzz.... You corporate suites really have your heads up your assessssss.....
If Verizon needed the business,,,,,,......,,,,,, The functionality would be there...
From what I noticed that Verizon really wants people to use Get It Now (GIN) because they can make money from it, a high profit zone for people who are impulse buyers. Looking over phone history it seems like any posible feature a manufacture would normaly add in on a phone that may conflict with a feature or posible feature that GIN may offer, Verizon will order to have that feature disabled on any phone that is GIN enabled. One example is my last phone was th...

Why would Motrola produce a phone that is less advanced than its previous release? Has that ever happened - a manufacturer taking a step back? Why would they introduce a BT phone that doesn't at least have the same features, if not better than its previous BT phone?
It is highly likely that it is a decision from the Verizon end given their track record with charging for games, which are otherwise standard features on the phones.
ok i'm eagerly awaiting the v710 with bluetooth so i can connect my bluetooth enabled hp 4350 to the net through verizon.
am i waiting in vain???

They let motorola release the v710 and almost all the bluetooth features are turned off except for the ones that let you buy BT accessories.

And Sam Walton has secret plans to rule the world..............
And Chuck E. Cheese has subliminal messages in their robot songs to get your kids to only want to go there.....
Come on, Let's get real. Seriously, look at PDA phones and headsets with built-in FM Radios, and all the other gadgets that are offered on VZW phones that aren't "chargable."
This is not Motorola issue as they seem to be able 'normally' implimemt BT of the v600! Sony as well.
Go figure. Rigorous testing and all that. Great phone flagship BT guys!
And remember...no one is allowed to respond to my posts...who's gonna be the first?

... but knowing Verizons history with altering the feature set of new phones it wouldn't suprise me if it doesn't change.
HA! guess what! it hasn't changed 🤣 🤣
I've argued this BT thing more than needed. When it comes down to it, so what. Verizon wants to be a profitable company. Great. Another avenue of income? Wonderful. My Jeep is capable of having GPS, egad, they cripled my truck by not including a feature unless I pay for it...Those bad people 😉
Het over the 'evil profit thing' and welcome to capitalism. Verizon currently seems to be winning the war (in terms of quarter of quarter) and people seem contemt to pay for services like the rest of the world.
Seems that, yes, they have forsaken the people of the 'freebie entitlement internet' days for those with money to spend and a willingness to do so. So, go back to downloadi...
