Samsung A950
After having a samsung a950 with its lastest software update and having it replaced three time, I know that verizon will give you a different phone. Does anyone know what that phone it that they will replace a Samsung A950?

When I had my a950 replaced they gave me the 8100 but that was back in the day. I now own an 8300. They may give you either the 8300 or a930 I wouold say. Most likely the a930 since that pretty much replaced the a950

It was my understanding that if you are replacing due to having at least 3 replacements of your current model, that you can pick any comparable phone you want, you just have to pay the different in price if it is more, but don't get any back if it is less.

I just took a look at phones that are comparable (at least in my opinion) on VZW's site and this is what I found:
Samsung a950: $150 (what you currently have)
-WMA player
-1.3 Camera w/flash
-Intenna
-Removable Memory
LG VX8300: $70.00 (what I currently have)
-MP3/WMA Player
-Flash menus (get rid of red in menus and change the whole look)
-1.3 Camera w/flash
-Removable Memory
-Most likely supported well by Verizon since it is a LG phone
-Can put ringtones/pictures for free on the phone via BitPim and Bluetooth on the computer
-Antenna
Samsung a930: $100
-WMA Player
-1.3 camera w/flash
-No outside pic id
-Speakerphone used while phone is closed
-All black if you like that

i went through the phone exchange process. i went trhrough 3 lg6100 phones, all with poor reception. i called verizon CS and told them about my situation. they gave me a choise of similar phones that i could pick from. NONE of them were currently being sold. some just came off the market. same had been off the market for some time. when i picked a phone, i had to try several verizon stores before i found one that had the phone FRU in question (lg7000).

i forgot to mention that when when verizon siwtches your phone with an FRU, they are obligated to switch any accesories you purchased from them as well. car charger, holster, ... if you purchased the accesories from some where else then you need to buy them for the new phone.
