SWITCHED FROM CINGULAR TO VERIZON
I just ported my number from Cingular to Verizon God I am so glad to be done with the Moto T720. I got the LG VX7000 and love the service. I had to pay a early termination fee to cingular but it is well worth the money to get rid of the T720. I went thru 4 phone and in the end had the same problem with all 4 phones (freezing, call drops, screen blacking out, I could go on and on with issues. I contacted cingular one last time and asked to trade the phone in for a different phone and they said no can do not even going to happen you have to pay full price for a new one. So instead of giving them my money for 2 new phones and paying them for another year and half of service I terminated my contract and gave my bussiness to Verizon and I coul...

I do thank you for your choice to move to us from Cingular but what I'm about to bring up is just an intresting thing I'm going to point out using your story as an example to point to others VZW reps here as an observation...
... I have pointed out before in an earlier thread that many customers leave a company because of X-reason, or X thing they wanted done, the company they are currently with was unwilling to do. I point to this good person here, swiching over to Verizon wireless because of the problems he had with the Moto T720 (a phone that we all know was a POS, even ours) Regarding policy from what I rember though that if he was in the same situation but the companies was reversed, chances are we would have to say the same thing to...

Not nessesarily....in the Midwest we have this thing called the oops program....where he would have been able to get a nokia 3589i at 79.99 an lg vx3200 for 99.99 or the lg vx6000 for 179.99 with an extention of the service agreement...also if he didn't want those phones we would go a step farther and give him 50.00 off retail price of any phone available...so we wouldn't automatically tell him to pay full retail

I've checked out the oops program, it's usually $50 off the retail price. That's good because their is no more trade in program in the west ($50 trade in value).
A cust can go to moto cust service and make a valid arguement to obtain another unit.
All sales reps in the west should have an express exchange replacement matrix. This matrix shows which phones are comparable to the T720; it's used to do an express exchange if the store doesn't have any T720's to exchange. However, I don't ever see this implemented-most sales reps dont know what I'm talking about especially when i'm reading from the m&p file

M&Ps are another thing I find interesting too, I wonder how many actualy read these when addressing customer issues. I often find in them that they give us more lean on stuff we can do for customers then what is assumed... but I have also found the reverse as well, Verizon takes a much stronger stance then what may normaly be taken by a rep in a situation.

Yes it was a Cingular phone and not a VZW. I ported my number from Cingular to VZW. Service is great.
