Q for VZW sales......
I have just recently completed my 2 yr contract and am looking for a new phone (currently the Moto t720 POS) however am unhappy with the offerings currently available (pocket PC type wanted). My question is.....if I purchase a phone now without getting a renewed contract, do I lose the new every 2 ability later on? Asked the Rep at the store and was told I needed to renew my contract if I am to buy a phone........I don't believe him, and was hoping someone here can set me straight considering you wouldn't have the commission on the back of your mind like this guy did.

if you purchase a new phone at the retail price then it would not renew your contract and you could still have the nu2 to use down the road when a phone you like comes out. if you get a new phone at promo price and use your nu2 then obviously you do lose it. the only way to keep it and use it later is to buy a phone at full retail price and continue on your contract. now you can get a new price plan if you want, that will renew your contract but you will not lose your nu2 coupon.

I do know some outlets cannot to sell at full retail due to system limitations or they are just people who are trying to get contract commish.
