NEED HELP - Phone Techs?

Ok hear me out, Ill keep it brief.

A few months ago, I dropped my phone my pool. I let it dry out for a few days, and everything worked perfect except one thing: when I speak into it - it sounds all staticy and mumbly to the person I am talking to. It seems to just be the mouth piece that is messed up - everything else works great, I can send/recieve, use bluetooth, camera etc...

One last thing, when I use my bluetooth headset it works fine, and the other person can hear me. This is what makes me think it is just the part I speak into.

I tried hooking it up again, months later and it did the same thing.

Anything I can do? Has anyone ever had this problem? Im thinking about doing the oven trick, but I figured its been drying ...

If it has a standard 2.5mm jack, try plugging and unplugging a regualar wired headset a few times. That used to work on two way radios.

unfortunately it does not have a headset jack - I guess you can only use bluetooth with it. I have an old v3c that works fine, I was considering trying to take it apart to see if I can take the mouthpiece from the old v3c and put it into the new (watered) v3m - or maybe I should just take the little white water sensor off the old phone and put it on the new phone, so it doesnt look like it was wet and return/exchange it. hah

Have you had it apart? I can't remember if the speaker is glued in place.......It may just need some glue.

No I havent taken it apart - but Im considering it. I would need to get one of those little * shaped screw drivers to take it apart.

Its just the phone was like 3 days old, and almost works - which is why Im trying so hard to get it to work. hah, thanks for the feedback

You are one shady mother****** Good luck on taking that phone apart. Its a pain in the ass for one. Two any good tech will see that you have taken it apart and the warranty will be void. I will laugh at you! Guess you should have had phone ins...remember you can add that within 15 days of purchase....
