Good I hope they make many more so everyone can find one they like, any phone built to water resistant specs is going to have better build quality than anything in today current line-up 🤤 glad to see verizon taking these steps

I understand the idea of the waterproof/resistant phones, the only thing I dont get is how are the chargingand earpiece ports designed? They will obviously be a female plug that something goes into, they will have to be made out of metal in order fro the electricity to flow to charge them, water and metal equals rust and corosion?

Anybody have an idea how they are designed to combat this problem?

slide-lock with gaskets? I dunno...

I'm a fan of inductive charging though... just drop your phone on the pad and it juices up.

Inductive is marketed well, but it is no diffferent from a standard charging dock - you have to position the device EXACTLY right and you cannot charge mulitple devices off the same surfaces - tkae a look at Wildcharge instead - AND inductive is what - about 25% efficient - they will bever get an Energy Star rating!
