Ok guys, we really need to watch what info we post on this board.

We are privy to info before it comes out, we need to stop running here and posting it before it is released.

I have seen many people who post prices and release dates before VZW makes them available to the general public, speculation is fine, but the details need to stop, if we keep posting them on here they will eventually stop giving us info ahead of time, also posting the info that is not yet released to the public could cost you your job.

The reason I say this is that a few months back I received a nice letter in the mail from the all mighty higher ups saying I needed to stop posting inside stuff on this website.

Come on guys, lets start watching what we post h...

shoot and I was wanting to tell about the new 8700 and its release. I mean, a phone that is waterproof, 3.2 megapixel, video capable, stereo bluetooth, FULL bluetooth capable, so small it may be implanted in the ear canal...darn. I wish I could tell about the phone being 100 bucks. Also, the fact that it is being released next month on the 25th would have been nice to talk about too.

THANKS FOR RUINING THAT FOR ME! ๐Ÿคจ

better tell everyone on hofo and the entire Internet for that matter, you can't stop it, there are some hard core insiders on hofo who post pics of phone many months before release. all you can do is cover your own butt

The carriers can stop it...one agent in my area had an employee fired. (VZW said that the agent either fires the employee or they lose their dealership) This person was posting things right and left on here.

It is just morally wrong to disclose information about the company you are selling. They old saying, "just because one does it, doesn't make it right."

ah you know...you get chit chattting..bs'ing around...you just talk. If something is brought up by VZW like the prorated contracts, backup assistance (I always thought that was be a beeper for big people) and etc...then fine. They can't complain about us talking about it.

You are right, the original post was asking people to stop so that VZW will still let its front line know some priviledged info. So, my apologizes Army...I took a different spin then what the original post was for.

I will talk about it once it is out, but i will not leak before it is known. I saw the 9900 months ago and have been keeping my mouth shut about it for that very reason, when more info becomes available on here(not from my lips) I am all about the discussion, until then i just bite lip and can't wAITE UNTIL IT GETS HERE!

Kind of like insider trading, sharing proprietary info is a bad idea and can affect a companies competitive edge. If someone is privy to it and chooses to spill the beans, you do take the risk that a company would frown on that in some manner.

It's funny that people will come to the forum and scream that VZW reps don't know jack but in the same light you see that some VZW reps (I think someone mentioned a rep at HOFO) can't keep it to themselves. So, what benefit does the company have in sharing it with the employees early of the net end result is that the cat is out of the bag early?

So, of course the reps will know very little because some of the insiders can't get over the fact that that aren't as cool as they'd like to be and have ...

i've been saying for the past 3 years that if you log onto Phonescoop at work, they will keep track of what User ID and there is a small group of managers that recieve these reports with Logon id's for phonescoop, phonearena, hofo, etc and they read your posts. it may take them a while to correllate but they will.

I got heckled and told to eff off... well what do you know here i was right all along.

Is VZW your portal to the web? If so, there is net tracking software that will key log your inputs, correllate it to your network logon and ip address and if linked to certain criteria, the network monitoring software will create usage reports.

If you own your own store, pay for your own internet connection and have no such network monitoring, I wouldn't worry about it. Instead, I would keep a certain level of anonymity. Like myself, I spent many years with Cingular and the companies that made up Cingular as a 3rd party agent for them acquiring land usuage rights for cell towers. But the thing is is there are numerous companies that contract out to all the celluar companies, leavng me with a certain level of anonymity. Also, I'm reti...
