I heard rumors about this program. I got around pc security to hit the howard forums and boom.. That is one nasty work-around up there in that linky.

IN NO WAY DO I CONDONE THE USE OF THE ABOVE FILES LISTED IN SAID LINK. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK AS IT INVALIDATES YOUR PHONE WARRANTY AND MAY BE CONSDIERED ILLEGAL

I understand this to mean, one can sample ringtones/pictures via down loading onto your computer, paying for only (1) tone. Then all the samples downloaded (that you were allowed to listen to first/free, without purchasing), can later be uploaded to the cell phone by a usb cable direct from your computer. Thus avoiding roughly the $1.$$ per song/tone if you would attempt to download directly to your phone from the TONES Web Site. I have a Audiovox CDM-9500 and have downloaded to this phone using "Get it Now". So I understand the honest procedure, and also the unlawful procedure this article promotes! The whole thing sounds juvenile to me as well as a different style of theft. I hope all you Verizon Guys read this, see if you come to the same...

Oh it is extremely illegal! Its copyright infringement and stealing all wrapped into one. Hence why I do not condone the use of the program.

I just want people on the VZW side to be more aware of this problem. Alot of those "software" issues the techies at the retail stores deal with are customers that used GAGIN and busted their phones.

Yup, Myself talked about the program in previous posts with out nameing it. It does Void your warrentee as well if your found to be using it. There are many people around here to know about it, know its illegal, and have heard of the stories of people wipeing their phones and so on.

I have tried it out on a old FRU T720 I had laying around and found it a big pain to configure for myself. I don't recomend it.
