For a while now I've heard that Verizon may finally offer an unlimited text messaging package good for any carrier not just Verion to Verizon much like everyone else out there...also moving Unlimited Nights down to 7pm. Anyone else hear of these rumors? Keep checking their website hoping....Thanks!
...
As long as verizon keeps posting the numbers they have been every quarter i don't see either one of these options becoming available.
...
close to that is only in the west coast. i was upgrading a customer who was in vision west and noticed a unlimited in pack for 25,30 and 35 which where 3000, 4000 and 5000 outside verizon the most on the east is 2500
...
No reason to do things like that. The company is at the top of the game just the way it is 😎
...
LOL...Kmart was at the top of the game the way it was at one time also...are they now??
To stay at the top requires change, a company always has to change to stay at the top. Since verizon is content with not doing anything new since they are doing good now, it might be a good time for vodaphone to take verizon up on their offer and sell out to them. Again, just my thoughts.
...
All false.... one, less then 1% of calls are made between the hours of 7pm-9pm. There is no real reason to change because customers would not really receive any benefit, unless Sprint marketing has done their job so well that people think, gosh I make a alot of calls during 7p-9p. Two, small carriers have to compete with the big companies by offering Unlimited TXT or MyFavs/MyCircle, because if you are on a small carrier most people you know, run into, etc... are on VZW or Cingy, if their carriers had 50+ million customers they wouldn't offer these types of plan.
...
well, if only 1% of the calls are between the hours of 7pm-9pm, then it would not cost verizon much to offer this as an option. Heck, if they get another $5/month for this option, they would actually make money.
as far as smaller companies offering something to compete with the bigger companies, my view is, why give people a reason to go elsewhere. Just my thoughts.

Good point!!! most fanboys don't share your common sense approach tho
...
I agree. But, we will wait and watch all the fanboys come out and chastize trucks for saying that. Look at Wal-mart, they do price matching, why...simple, to keep their customers buying there. You don't want to send your customer to the competitor if you don't have to, they might find they like them better.
...
Simple, say VZW or any other carrier offers something another carrier has to attract business, unlimited TXT, Night at 7pm, Rollover, My Circle, basicly any competition promo. More people would jump on, which although there would be more money coming in you would think but cost per a user would actually fall(less overage!!), the network would have to handle more load then what it was currently built, managed, kept up for and you would have to spend more money to keep building more towers, switches, etc. So now you have less money coming in per a user and more money going out for your network just because you wanted Unlimited TXT messages or something. You want to have a managable # of adds to your company plus keep the ones you have at a man...

that makes no sense at all you realize that right? are you trying to tell us all if they offer unlimited text they will need to build more towers? 😕 and the extra revenue would not really be extra? or the network would suffer from it 😕

But there must be a reason that Cingular raised the price of 7pm Nights and Weekends. Although overall 1% of calls are done at those hours, it must be a much higher % for the people who actually pay for the option.

I too heard and read the same rumors about unlimited text, some said they were going to release this plan around the same time the 9900 hits the floor..doubt it tho
