Plan questions

I'm currently on a family plan with 2 phones.
My contract has been up for a few months.
I'd like to remove the additional family member from the account and do a NE2. A couple of questions.

1) Does removing someone renew my contract?
2) I'd like to do a NE2, should I remove the line first or do both (remove and NE2) at the same time?

Removing someone does not renew your contract.

It doesnt matter which you do first. Make sure you dont remove the primary line, and if your going to remove the secondary line first make sure you change to a price plan thats $34.99 or higher and make sure the new every two feature stays on after the price plan change has been done

1. No, canceling the secondary on the line will not extend your contract. However, you will be asked to change to a single consumer price plan, whichmay extend your contract. This would not change your NE2 date or eligibility date though.

2. On a family share the primary line is the only line eligible for the discount. Removing the secondary won't change this at all.

I would remove the second line just in case though. If you request to update your over all price plan it may extend your contracts on all your lines so it matches the primary. I think you'd still be able to remove it with-in 15 days after this if it happens, but just something to watch out for.
