Does anybody know if there is a charge for an ESN switch? My friend wants to swap phones but I want to make sure there are no hidden charges for switching equipment. Thanks for any info.

Calling cust care or going into a store is $15-$20 depending on markets, if you go to your account at verizonwireless.com there is no charge

You can call CS and just tell them the ESN switcher wouldn't work when you tried it online. I always say that to the CS person I talk and I have never been charged for the ESN charge.

Through Customer care there is never a charge even in different markets. ESN changes only have a cost in the store so that they can get some kind of comision out of it and thats the only reason. I used to be a care rep and then i got promoted into a new department and i get to test things now but i remember my care days and there is no charge and i know to this day that there is still no charge cause i have several friends in care.
