What good experiences do any of you have with particular carriers and the use of Blackberry devices in the North Central Illinois area. (DeKalb, Genoa, Belvidere). I currently have Cingular for my cell carrier and they are really frustrating the heck out of me with horrible service. Don't get me wrong it is not all their fault, it is partially mine since I live in a farm field. I just don't want to get a blackberry and not be able to use it in my home area.

I live in illinois and freqently travel to the rockford area.
There are pros in cons in these areas...pro: voice coverage is excellent i have been in belvidere, rockford, loves park, dixon, poplar grove with no issues.

The downside to this area is no evdo. Your data will pull from our 1x network. This is not the worst thing in the world but if your a power user for email and web browsing it can get kind of annoying. but try it out 15 day worry free guarantee and see for yourself.

P.S. why did Vzw put evdo coverage in springfield before rockford....way more pops in rockford area..its the second largest city in Illinois....oh well.

State capital, government contracts. Better business decision, I would guess.

Would seem logical. Good assessment I'd say.
