So... you're basing your purchase on aesthetics. Wow, you haven't been on Phonescoop long, have you.
I've been on PS since June and been a phone fan forever.

you're considering a the 930 or any NokiTech/PanKia phone. .... As far as reception and reliability, of those three, the 8300 smokes them.
The 6315i is NOT a bad phone and Pantech is a good company. Theyre not UTstarcom. The 930 got a high overall user rating in the User Review section. And the 8300 looks like sh*t. I dont base my purchases on looks only, but I don't want a butt ugly phone like the 8300.

Pantech and UTStarcom are not the same company. UTstarcom makes junk and Pantech is a good company, most known in Asia. đ
The 930 is OK but it has an internal Antenna which suffers slight reception hits over a stub. the VX8300 will get atleast one bar more signal then the 930 in almost all areas. and for areas where signal is not as strong that one bar can make a huge differnce.
the 8300 also has better speaker for music, its more durable.
with all that said however if you want a phone thats great for music and looks good also wait a month or so for the Chocolate Flip (LG VX8600). it looks sweet.
I did a review on the a930 but I ended up trading it for the LG 8300 before the 14 days... The a930 does not support mp3 playback without some minor "hacking"....I can teach u how if you'd like...
The LG VX8300 has STEREO BLUETOOTH for wireless streaming of MUSIC with bluetooth headphones while the a930 DOES NOT...Also, the LG 8300 does not require hacking to support mp3 playback.. just a one time settings change to enable mp3s...
The main thing I didnt like about the a930 is that it looks and feels cheap... the 8300 may not be as attractive IMO but has a better build and is better quality... also, it has a customizable flash interface... đ
I think most ppl will agree that the LG 8300 i...

tHE NOKIA/PATECH/UTSTARCOMM...Whatever you want to call it is actually a good phone. The 8300 is the best by far, The samsung is way down at the bottom, build quality is poor but my major complaint is samsung's intenna, their new antenna design on the 930 and some other models just sux! The walmart next to me sold a ton of samsung 930's and I get at leaste one customer a week in here complaining about dropped calls and poor signal. I have held one in our store and it would only show me one bar compared to 2-3 on other manufacturer models( I am not saying it will not work well in your area) We stopped selling all samsung's with internal antennas where I am at because of to many complaints. My best suggestio
