Nextel18 thinks verizon is out of the data game

I respectfully disagree

Here is my post in the sprint forum what do you all think?

Yes powervison is better than vcast, but still the mass majority of the population could give a crap. I think the reason why is right now there is no killer app that is knocking everyone socks off, and when that time comes all the carries will offer it! So those who think verizon is out of the data game i just don't agree, explain yourself. thanks

I agree with that post and with nextel18 that data is the future. But with such ****ty data products and voice revenue not *that* low yet it doesn't matter. Besides pda data and text msging (which really isn't technically a data product, even though it's figured into data arpu) I think most data products are useless. If you're just looking at data arpu as extra service revenue, then maybe verizon should start factoring in their GIN revenue into their data arpu and skew the numbers.

I understand and the point I'm making and seeing who agrees, it that there is not killer app out yet that has the mass majority of the population excited, and when there is all the carriers will provide that app.

I know, but watch also for their MediaFlo the problem is, they are already too late to the data game and wont be successful.

I just completely disagree there is nothing to be excited about it yet, how can anyone predict this outcome before anything has hit
