Moderator Request: No More Crippled/UI Threads

Green Jeep

Oct 12, 2006, 11:30 PM
This is more to see what y'all thought.

I wanted to suggest that the threads be moderated to remove any more additional 'I hate the UI' or 'Crippled Bluetooth' threads.

It's not that I fear and antiVZ sentiment but that they are clogging up the forum for other, more useful, threads. When you go to the page today, half of it is posts about this.

See, even that wouldn't be bad if there was anything new to discuss. Alas, there is not so it is no material value to have another thread existing about the same subject and the same combative post from both/all sides about these issues. There is just nothing left more than a 'it's not a big' or 'I hate VZ for the UI/Crippling etc' arguement that goes nowhere.

It's mucking up the more usef...

I agree.

we know the bluetooth is "crippled"
we know the UI is boring at times.

whining about it will not change anything and it does detract from serious posts.

I guess that is why we live in a free country,

doesn't the bluetooth applications and UI suck for Verizon?

Did you ever stop to think that might be what is on most avid Verizon Wireless customer's minds?

Probably not. What else is there to say other than Verizon wants as much money as it can get from you, that should be a forum.

We don't live in a free country, it costs to live here.

Doesn't making a generalized statement regarding features that may or may not be on any given Verizon phone suck?

No. Most avid Verizon Wireless customers are not avid about whether their bluetooth will move files from one phone to another. Rabid techno geeks, on the other hand, are.

What a mind blowing statement, thinking a large company wants to make money off of its customers.

Can you handle my simple answers?

Your right, they are more worried about what new color the crap RAZR phone will be offered in next.

If there was no interest in the subject, each of these threads would die after the original post. This forum isn’t here so that we can all bow toward Bedminster, NJ and praise the almighty VZW. Subjects that don’t put VZW in a very good light are just as valid as those that make the company look good.

Some time ago, one of the biggest complaints on this forum was the lack of pro-rated ETF’s. VZW is changing their policy on ETF’s, and this forum may have played a part in that decision.

Anyone who doesn’t like a particular topic doesn’t have to participate in that thread, or even read it for that matter.

They should just make a forum just for customers who feel like complaining about Verizon's UI and then we could just throw all of their threads/posts in there. Kinda like a recycle bin much like the one on your desktop.

for starters the mods are never going to remove any negative post regarding verizon as long as its well thought out and not inflammatory, so your request is DENIED!! as far as your concern for it mucking up the forums and other threads being ignored that is not happening.

And to top it all off your post is cluttering this forum with the most useless information of all.

Army, your pretty rude. I don't know if you noticed this but, well, I was pretty polite in my request and was even handed in that I didn't take a side. All I said was, we're having the same arguement over and over and that I find that it does subvert other threads.

Also, depending on whether or not you've modded at any board, many boards do remove repetitive posts. Heck, I modded at a board (3000 memebers) with very free posting policies to include plain ol' swearing and, you guessed it, repetitive topics are removed or merged into one thread so that other threads have a chance to be discussed. It's not at all a strange request.

Also, Army, since I was rude to no one, why were you rude to me. I don't know that what I posted was useless...

You made a post i responded there was nothing in there that would be considered rude, your request was shocking to me, and I responded, and Now you want to hold me accountable for the way you interpreted my response. what is even more shocking than that is you think one post from you is going to curve everyones behavior, thats is essentially want you are trying to do, and i find any papa smurf behavior to be very annoying. Anyways I guess this book is closed, have a super happy weekend. 🙂

We don't need another thread about it. It has no use and no different outcome will result.

I say these threads get pitched.

Why because you say so? 🙄 And check it out guy there is a new thread about it and once again people are participating in it, go figure. And your post is useless because it has nothing to do about verizon whatsoever, and the other post do. Case close 🙂 Once again have a great weekend
