wow why so much maybe $199 2 year. but i really should be more like 149.99 - 50 = 99
This phone doesn't have all the features of a high end 9800 or chocolate to be that expensive it's for people who abuse their phones and they shouldn't be paying 300 for a phone. even if it can with stand a few bounces it'll break eventually.

no bluetooth no memory card i don't know about the MP3 player, but those separte it from the top of the line phones.

A lot of phones are coming out at this high price point now. that are the same as the last release of phones which came out at a lower price point. A930, vx8300 both came out a little low (150)it actually surprised me, then the chocolate came out at $200, and now the krzr at $250, and the Gzones at $300.

plus this thing is shock and water resistant, it will be a beaste. Prices will drop but the heavy duty build quality is what is making the $ high. I am not at all surprised by those prices, I was hoping a little less but not surprised. Just remember the razr launched around the same pricing and look at it now.

C'mon 2 megapixel and being water resistant? $299 is fine for the niche who will be purchasing it.

LG VX9800 didn't come down that much at all. Still 250. The Chocolate is 200.00 but even at that price the indirects cannot profit on that phone. In fact, I would lose 10 bucks if I sold it at that price. VZW responds, oh, but sell VCAST pix/txt/memory card/case/cla/etc....and then you might make what you normally would have made on most other phones...

The Gzone should be having vcast capabilities as well as bluetooth and vznavigator on top of the shock, dust and water resistant features. 299.99 is a fair price I would think. After MIR and lets just say a NE2 upgrade its like 149.99 which come on.. for those kind of qualities is cheap. But you guys are right it will probably come down eventually.

this is why vzw doesn't want employees giving out release dates....these are tenative dates subject to change....so for everyone who asks why employees don't post release dates on here this is why.....we don't know for sure....the gzone has officially been pushed back to ab unknown date.... 😢
