A few questions-

Wireless Buddy

Oct 17, 2006, 2:42 PM
1) I know you can upgrade a line at 22 months. Can you also cancel that line at 22 months?

2) Online, can you buy a Motorola Q, or do you have to do that instore?

3) Whats the return policy for online? If you want to use Worry Free Guarantee, do you ship the box back or can you do it at your local VZW corp. store?

4) If I buy the Q and it breaks at 1 year into my 2 year contract, can I replace it for a refurbished one fro $50, or is this if you buy insurance?

**NOTE- Please use blockquote when replying, or restate the question so I know what you're talking about.

THANKS! You all are so much help

How do you add songs and videos to the Q? When you sync it, is it drag-and-drop sort of thing?

Q 1. If you sign a two year contract, you gotta wait two years before you cancel. That means the full 24 months.

Q 2. You can add a line online or in a store or thru telesales

Q 3. The return policy is the same everywhere. Have to return or exchange within 15 days using the return shipping label in the package.

Q 4. If you buy the q and it BREAKS, your s.o.l. unless you purchase insurance (GET IT) It's better to pay 4.99 or 5.99 for 22 months at 131.78 with a 50.00 deductible, than pay 419.99 full retail... weigh your choices.... 180.00 verses 420.00...

tough choice. as to the other... i dunno

Hope this helps!

as a part of the worry free guarantee you can upgrade your equipment every twenty two months, however your physical contract that you signed wherever, does stipulate that the contract is 24 months. they allow you to do the upgrade before the contract end date to essentually keep you under contract, it also gives you a better deal than paying full retail.

22 months gives the company an advantage in attempting to get you hooked for another 2 years by upgrading before your contract is up. I think Cingular does it at 21 months. That way you have to think about it for 2-3 months before you cancel, but you can impulse buy another 2 years before you are eligible to cancel.

You are correct about the FRU. As long as it is a manufacture defect anytime after 12 months you can get a FRU replacement for the $50 fee. If you drop it in the pool or run over it with your lawnmower then you sol. Thats when you want insurance.
