Verizon's New TV Ad Violates Terms of Service?
Written by Christopher Price

Verizon Wireless has a new Motorola Q TV advertisement out. It shows the Q doing a lot of different things, including what appears to be streaming video.
Problem is, this violates the Verizon Wireless smart device terms of service. Under Verizon's terms of service, no data card, PDA, or smartphone can stream video over the network. Standard Verizon phones are permitted however to stream video over Verizon's V CAST mobile video service. Such a service is not available on Smart Devices, such as the Moto Q.

The terms of service says YOU can't do it. But it doesn't stop them from doing it all they want! 😈

It was interesting enough to see SlingBox commercials advertising a Q as a mobile device using their service. Makes one wonder if VZW has said anything considering they frown upon SlingBox use over their data network. Video being played on the Moto Q is supposed to be viewed as streaming video, because if it wasn't, they would have to have a disclaimer at the bottom of the screen saying that the clip is saved on to the MiniSD, but they won't since they want people to believe that you can. Not saying VZW is the only company that does that, every company fibs a lil to get their product out. I never tried to view video on my treo because I read carefully and it said you cannot be covered with your data pac...

🤣 this post is stupid any way, if you watch the clip it says in the bottom right hand side of the screen "screen shots simulated" any moto q owner knows when watching anything or on ie the screens do not look like what they do on the tv add, get a life, move on!
people take things way to serious and are always trying to find a way around things
