I just got a email on my VZW account, I had recently cancelled my service, and my bill total is less than the ETF, should I be scared? (As in am I getting overcharged for only using my service for two weeks of a billing cycle before I cancelled, an I am going to get charged later for the ETF).

It depends. It should say somewhere on the bill $175 for ETF, if not, then Army is right, be affraid. But it is def possible to get a bill for less than the etf. Since you pay a month ahead and i'm asuming you cancelled mid-bill cycle, they would owe you half your money back for that month of service. It depends how large a plan you had how much would be discounted of course.

the easy way is to look at the surcharges/taxes portion as that is usually where the ETF shows up.

Yes but my bill is 165, my bill wasn't even that high with a PDA, I never go over minutes, nor text messages. THERE IS NO WAY ON GODS GREEN FREAKIN EARTH I COULD HAVE AQUIRED THAT MUCH IN CHARGES.

I usually owe between 70 - 80 a month. That is some major bull crap, wow now I am really glad I switched.

I'd say it does include the ETF. That's why it's so high. They charged the 175 but refunded what was paid in advance and not used. That gets you to 165?

I cancelled at the beginning of October after I had already payed for September. So now I have to pay for October and November, and then the ETF. I can understand October and the ETF but GOD DAMN, that is a little obsessive if they are making me pay for November too.
