Think about it.

I'm not talking to the other forums I'm talking to this ONE, and no actually they aren't crying all day about no obex and the standardized UI, cuz the other carriers are jacking them like verizon. THINK ABOUT IT!

Now what the hell are YOU going to do, cry more about how verizon is jacking you or take your money elsewhere what a thought eh

Everybody should agree that the architecture of the software is making it harder to move your phone between carriers. You used to be able to switch between two CDMA carriers without any problem. My old StarTac never had a carrier logo on it either.

You didn't have to buy a new phone to switch carriers. I disagree that phone portability can't be mandated because there are two major cell technologies in use in the US. The OEM should offer a generic unbranded phone and state ALL of the carriers it is compatible with. Like the E815 should be compatible with all o...

Yes sir. I live in Vermont where VZ has a monopoly, especially for data.

VZW should be the wireless version of an ISP - they should provide the CONNECTION - the towers, the switching system, etc. You pay them by the month, or by the minute, or by the kilobyte. You buy your gear from someone else, you buy your services (email, SMS, web-browsing, GPS, etc) from someone else. Just like the Internet. I buy my DSL from VZ, I buy my PC's from Dell, I get my email and web-ho...

Man that sucks I'm sure you are one of very few who complain but don't actually have a choice I can feel you pain there, I hope another carrier makes it out your way for your sake.

I can't disagree with anything you are saying about how verizon needs to get out of the phone business, I hope the future bring these changes for everyone, especially you 😉

I'm not even a verizon basher they are great company they just have to stop power tripping and live the OEM the fu(k alone!

But for everyone else PORT

I am not a whining, crying schoolgirl 😁 Actually, I am with verizon because I like the coverage, and I deal with the things I don't like (the UI, the crippled bluetooth, ect.) because of that. Sometimes the pro's outweigh the con's....and since I travel A LOT I need to have the coverage that they offer in the northwest! I do hope they make the changes that people are asking for, but I wouldn't count on it anytime soon...
