When on a family plan, could the main number order a phone with the New Every 2 discount, but activate the phone with one of the secondary numbers? My wife is eligable and doesn't want a new phone, but I do.

You'd have to use the NE2 to upgrade the phone on the primary line, then swap esn's which can be done online for free, at a store (may be charged) or over the phone (may be charged).

So if I order the phone, activate it on the primary line then re-activate the old phone on the primary line I am free to use the new phone on any number I want? Sorry if this is an old question I looked, but couldn't find a direct answer.
Thanks for your help..

It's cool if I have to wait one day after getting it. I have already waited months 🙂 Just got myself the chocolate for 29.99! Much better than $359 I think. Thanks again.

Alot of times it is for everyone to wait 24 hrs, because if you change it right away and then go to upgrade the other number, the original upgrade takes time to track what took place, and in some cases can take awhile going thru the acct remarks.. So to prevent a headache for yourself and reps if you leave it on the line it was purchased on for 24 hrs it will be much more trackable..

So I can't just activate it on the secondary line even though it is the same account? Not that I mind waiting, but the direct activation would be hassle free.
