On the Nokia 6256i I noticed that behind the battery next to where you insert the mmc card there is what appears to be a slot for a sim card. Does anyone know why this is? Can you insert a sim and use it in europe or asia possibly? Why is there a sim slot in a cdma phone?

Help me please 😕

? not sure then, i know the no2285 has a similar set up on the back of that(looks just like a sim card)and the 2128 has a spot behind the battery that you could use your imagination on where the sim card would have went (they just kinda stuck a metal part there to cover it), the only thing i can think of is they used similar case platform of a gsm version and left the slot. I now it does nothing on the 2285. MAybe they just kept the housing the same to keep the cost down as a gsm housing when they shot them through the assembly line.
