sounds like more of a phone problem if you keep going through 8 batteries.. what model do you have

Which makes complete sense that all the other phones are doing outstanding with battery life with the new UI. But assuming you're correct, how do you explain the crappy battery life out of the lower end LG's 3200, 3300, 3400, 6100, and I could go on this list forever that doesn't have the new UI.

I charge it everynight, it probably didn't help that I was outside and had no service, yet was less 40 miles from Downtown Houston in highly populated area, but "its the network."

But alas I did charge my phone like I do every night and what happened, happened.

What makes the most sense is that Flash Themes drain the battery and not the standard UI. 🤨

It only becomes hostile when someone comes in an starts touting an incorrect fact as The Word and gets defensive when someone tries to correct them. I never said I thought your claim of your battery draining in 12 hrs was outrageous. Fully believable. Things happen. Electronics are screwy. Yup, unfortunately for LG it is true. All 17 stores in the company i work for had this problem with LG's little blue batteries. One of the reps at another store had an 8300 in front of him and it exploded! He thought it was a gunshot so he hit the floor. Either VZW or LG (not sure) replaced it for him. But how scary is that?!?! Exploding phones?! Talk about theft deterrent! 🤣

LG had this problem before. There were stories of LG's exploding. I think it was either the VX-10/VX-1, VX-4400 or VX-3100.

lg510.....kaboooooom 😲 I have had 0 issues with the 8300 lith. It is a little different than the other lg batteries, it is 1100mah instead of 1000, now the 3200's omg those things suck, but atleaste it is cheaper then replacing a entire phone, lg batteries may suck but i still think they are better than moto phones.

It's odd, but I've never had a single complaint about the battery on LGs. I've owned nothing but LGs and have never had a battery issue except with the LG VX6100, but that phone was a pile of crap to begin with.

I'm kind of surprised at the results here.

All I said was that the phone drained down in less than 12 hours of being charged over night. Yes I could see where that would be hard to believe.

Dealing with VZW employees that couldn't tell their ass from a hole in the ground = Daily.

Switching to another carrier that gives just as good service with better calling plans, better reception, and better Text and Data = Priceless.

So go to their forum already..............

We have a VX6100, VX8000 (on 2nd battery), T730, V325 and V120e, all in daily use. The LGs have to be recharged every night while the Motorolas can go several days. The V120e is almost four years old and has the original battery. The V325 has by far the best battery life of the group, the VX6100 is the worst.

the v120 had one of the best batteries ever put in a phone. the 720/730 however were not that great, I went through multiple batteries on those models in ashort period of time.
