i found it. https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p =537

it's pretty cool. No matter how cool of phones comes out for VZW, people are still going to complain about the selection.

IMO, I don't like Samsung phones. No speakerphone, not Tri-Mode, no outside display(never did like that swivel idea, just another stress point to snap off imo), and only a 1.0 megapixel camera while everyone else is bringing out 1.3 megapixels. No thanks. I will continue to wait for the LG8000 even though it isn't a Tri-Mode also.

Not quite a selection yet. The sentence I posted is stated in future tense.

Sprint is the only carrier with a phone selection worth bragging about. Everyone else has about two phones worth writing home about.

if you're talking about sheer NUMBER of handsets....Cingular. That's really about all I know on handset selections.

It' so subjective to say "who has the best" because everyone's looking for something different when they look for a phone. Some want bells and whistles, some just want a straight phone, others want a PDA that has phone capabilities, and still some people want some or all of the above. That being said everyone's gonna form their own opinion about who has the "best selection" based on what they want out of a phone.

Personally I can find at least one phone that I really like in just about every carrier's selection. Except maybe the smaller carriers like ALLTEL and US Cellular.

Ok, I agree with all of that. That was a sensible response. I think i'm one of the folks that likes a good phone as far as making calls with the ocassional bell and whistle. Bluetooth and data and all that don't appeal to me. Give me a nice camera though and some good rings and some nice voice dialing.

you sound a bit like me, but I'd rather have Bluetooth to go with my voice dialing. I can kinda do without the camera, I'm not exactly a shutterbug.

I HATE talking on the phone while driving, but if I have to then I wanna be able to keep my hands and mind off my phone as much as possible and on the potentially life changing aspects of driving. Hence the love of bluetooth, not for data or syncing, but to stay a little safer on the road.
