I don't think the 8600 will be as good as the 8300, just my guess..we'll see.

What do you think?

I think the 8600 will be on par with the 8300, and hopefully better 🙂

Yes. Im really looking foward to the 8600. Of course I will check out the new UI themes and see if it's worth the upgrade.

Will also have to compare loudness (as far as ringers and music playback).

I did notice that in the Verizon store. Phones with Antennae were getting a full 4 1x and EV while those with internal antenna's were getting 2 or 3 only.

Will see...

yeah I think they are pretty close in features...its really more an issue of form factor. Do you want slimmer? Or a regular standard flip? I'm sure the 8600 will be a great phone for verizon.

Hard to say. The 8300 is a good, solid performer. The 8600 seems like it's focus is on being loaded with cool features. That's not always a good thing. I hope it's a great phone. Only time will tell.

The 8300 which I carry every day is yes very good except for the fact the bluetooth is horrid..

Basically unsable and I dont want to go into this as i have wrote dozens of articles on it and got all the way up to the design team at LG who agreed it has problems..

So this is where the 8600 could be better , we hope

Let's just hope the 8600 has the following...

1. Better bluetooth.

2. Same size or larger interior display. (What it really needs is a QVGA 16.7 million color screen, but we all know it wont get that.)

3. Faster and better UI selections.

4. Comparable speaker sound.

5. Comparable reception. (I noticed that the new KRZR got only 2 bars of reception inside a Verizon store when every other phone had 4 bars.)

I'm sure there are some other factors, but that is all I can think of right now...

I saw a live model and used it today....Only thing I can say for sure, it that both the external and internal displays are larger. Infact, the internal displaye is much larger than the one on the vx8300. The UI is great as well. The phone is just super sexy.

BUt doees the bluetooth work like it should ?

This is the big question

We all know the 8300 was damn close to perfect , this 8600 has potential , and I hope it rocks..

But I think LG thinks that the bluetooth is nto their issue and it is !!

Cool.

I just want to see one and go thru the menu's and all the stuff to see what it's like before i decide to upgrade. Might wait for the RAZR maxx.. (shrug).

I called customer service and they said the 15th. I asked if I could order one and they said not right now. LOL.
