Ok, where I live I have bad reception, can usually make a phone call but a lot of times I cant, it is becasue of the terrain I know for a fact, for you guys out there who are smarter then I am I am curious as to why I have 3 bars of EVDO coverage and zero of 1x? WOuldnt they work off the same towers, just different software in the towers?

Cingular is crap. Since they bought AT&T they have not been able to update their coverage ever since they are trying to recoup the money they spent purchasing them. And as for the least dropped calls, thats crap also. I have customers coming to get VZW service to get away from Cingular/ and or AT&T every which way I turn.

That's a lie and you know it!
Cingular has updated their coverage map. Perhaps you haven't checked their coverage map (that's right, map -as in only one)

Trashing Cingular in the Vzw forum is not going to accomplish what you think it will. Cingular is coming strong, and everyone at Vz knows this. Ask around.

Ask who, a novice like you? All there is here with all you guys are opinionated. Maps do not say anything. I used Cingular to test them and I had more dropped calls than with t-mobile. Remember, t-mobile as far as a network, it is the underdog to any other carrier.

So.... you personally tested the networks nationwide in the top 100 markets? I have a hard time beleiving that.

And why did you have to bring T-Mobile into this?

I have personally tested t-mobile also and they have a more solid coverage are than cingular. They may not be as strong but at least their customers are loyal. So if cingular cannot touch t-mo, how the heck do you think they are better than VZW? BTW, you do not know who the heck i am so back off you novice. I would sell service fast enough to make your head spin, newbie.

You are correct.

Oh, and TXT doesn't work on EvDO. Only on 1X. It uses the voice network. Few people know this.

it is my understanding that the evdo signal can be stronger in areas where 1x isn't due to usage of the signal. sorry misunderstood the ?

I asked a question about 1x and EVDO.

Lemme check it again, ummmmmm, nope, didnt mention Cingular or T Mobile.

Thanks to those of you who helped and to the rest who were obviously looking for an argument (obvious because what you are arguing about has absolutly ZERO revelence to the original post), get a life.
